Our Story & Mission
Welcome to Appalachian Baits!! We are a veteran-owned family business with a mission to produce affordable, handmade, high-quality fishing products for our customers. The company began when the owner, Alan, saw a need for high-quality and cost-effective fishing baits at his public trout pond.
With 60 years of fishing experience, Alan perfected his own personal dough bait recipe and started Appalachian Baits. From there, other types of fishing baits have been developed, such as the Appalachian Baits Mountin Wormz, Mountin Minnerz, Mountin Eggz, Mountin Cricketz, and Mountin Critterz.
All baits are manufactured in the USA with humorous “country names” such as ROAD KILL, BLUE TICK, AUNT PURL, OLE RED, BLAZE ORANGE, and more. Appalachian Baits is committed to producing high-quality and affordable fishing baits and products that make a difference for our customers.
